Why I love Tel Aviv

There are few special places that fill my heart with joy.  When I land in Warsaw, Poland, I feel like a kid again, I am happy that soon I will be walking down the familiar streets from my childhood, eating plum cake, seeing family and reuniting with friends.  Upon landing in Paris, I feel the excitement of that vibrant city, the anticipation of the delicious lunches and dinners, the afternoons of people watching from a park bench or a seat at a sidewalk cafe, and of slowly meandering through a stunning garden at the Rodin museum.  When I step out of the Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv, I feel like I am home, even though I shouldn't since I was not born there.  Tel Aviv is so inviting, unassuming, and infectious, one can't help but feel a comforting sense of belonging.
