Although I grew up in Warsaw and visit the city quite often, I still am somewhat of a tourist especially when it comes to the restaurants. Some places from my teenage years are still there, but the food scene in Warsaw has been so transformed that it is difficult to keep up especially long distance.
So, before each visit, I scour the internet trying to find a new and interesting restaurant or rely on my Polish friends.
This time, my lifelong friend, Dorota, took me to a really cool place for lunch.
It was a rainy day so we were not able to sit outside.
The atmosphere inside is very relaxed and comfortable, there is a live DJ each night. I was told that a lot of University students come here for breakfast.
Dorota had the mezze
And I had a really good burger with fries and a great salad. The salad was so good in fact, that I would have taken it in a large bowl as an entree. It was made with parsley, onions, carrots, barley and a nice dressing.
The decor is really creative and interesting.
They carry an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu that includes Mediterranean tapas, middle eastern salads, burgers and pizza.
A very enjoyable experience
