I love pretty much everything about Israel but the Taxi rides. Only about 15% of the cab rides I have taken in this wonderful country have been enjoyable and during the other 85% I was clutching whatever I could while praying for it to be over. Oy, why do the Israeli Taxi drivers speed like they are part of a NASCAR race? Is it considered wimpy to drive at a respectable speed?
So we flew down the highway from Tel Aviv and arrived at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem
We have stayed here before but each time the view takes my breath away. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast fantastic. Here are some of the breakfast delicacies.
Even the way the food is displayed is very creative.
I am a creature of habit, always get the same thing.
The second morning I decided to expand my repertoire a bit.
It's really lovely to eat while enjoying a great view of the Old City.
Fully satiated, I visited a nearby grocery store. It's always fun to stroll through a local supermarket.
Same stuff as back at home, just funny letters on the packaging.
Off to plan the rest of the day.
