After a couple of hours of walking around the Levinski market we decided to rest and have a small lunch at Ouzeria, a fun Greek tavern that offers delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
The menu offered plenty of really wonderful and delicious dishes.
This was such a fun experience; the music was loud, the servers were singing, clapping and creating a welcoming and really enjoyable atmosphere.
The decor is very simple and interesting; I especially liked the way they set up the lighting.
We started our meal with a piping hot bread and house vine leaves dip.
I tried to take a close-up photo to show the steam rising from the bread. I didn't quite succeed.
Being a huge fan of beets, I decided to go for the beetroot ravioli filled with goat cheese mousse. Bonus points for being visually stunning.
I don't particularly care for goat cheese but this mousse was delicate and wonderful, and the paper thin slices of beets made for a perfect vessel.
This was the next delicacy we enjoyed; shrimp with dried tomatoes, garlic and chili. Light, perfectly cooked shrimp with a perfect amount of spice and packed with great flavor.
I love cauliflower, so this was a must. It was soft with a nice sweet and a bit tangy flavor.
My husband enjoyed dipping the hot bread in this tzatziki which he had all to himself. Not my favorite.
